Scary Halloween Makeup Ideas
Using makeup is a great idea to get the look you want without the
dangers of a mask. Following are step-by-step instructions on how to
create creepy Halloween looks.
Bruises
Items Needed:
1. Deep blue powder eye shadow
2. Charcoal powder eye shadow
3. Shimmering green powder eye shadow
4. A makeup brush
Directions:
1. Get the makeup brush slightly wet.
2. Dip wet makeup brush in blue eye shadow.
3. With your fingertips add splotches of charcoal eye shadow and make
areas of the blue darker.
4. Apply the shimmering green powder around the outside.
5. Smudge the entire area.
Blood
Items Needed:
1. Half bottle of light corn syrup
2. Hot water
3. Red food coloring
4. Small amount of liquid soap
5. Blue or green food coloring
Directions:
1. Pour the corn syrup into a bowl.
2. Add hot water while stirring, until you achieve the consistency of
blood.
3. Add the liquid soap (this will make it easier to clean later.
4. Add a few drops of red food coloring.
5. Blue or green can be added to make the blood look darker.
6. Smear where needed for costume.
Scars
Items Needed:
1. Clear gelatin
2. Hot water
3. Bowl
4. Spoon
5. Foundation or red food coloring
Directions:
1. Combine the gelatin and water in a bowl.
2. Stir until mixture is no longer grainy.
3. Let gelatin cool to room temperature, but make sure it is still
gooey.
4. Mold the mixture on the skin in the shape you want.
5. Allow it to dry completely.
6. Use the foundation or red food coloring to get the desired color.
Wrinkles or Bumps
Items Needed:
1. White school glue (don't worry this is safe and non-toxic for use
on skin)
2. Cereal or tissue paper
Directions:
1. To create wrinkles or the effect of dry skin, apply a thin layer of
glue allow glue to dry and then lightly rub hand over it.
2. To create bumps, glue a dampened corn flake to the skin. Cover with
glue let dry then cover with foundation.
Moles or Warts
Items Needed:
1. White school glue
2. Puffed wheat cereal
3. Skin colored or brown makeup
Directions:
1. Glue a piece of the cereal on to the skin.
2. Allow the glue to dry.
3. When dry cover with skin colored makeup for warts, or with black or
brown makeup or face paint for moles.
